Stirling Primary School maintains its dominance in the Buffalo City leg of the Rising Star Tennis Championships, emerging victorious in both the girls' and boys' categories at the recently concluded Buffalo City district competition held in East London. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Stirling Primary has claimed the titles in Buffalo City since the inception of the Rising Star Tennis school championships in 2019.
Clarendon Primary secured the second-place spot, while Merrifield Preparatory School and College made their mark among the top contenders and secured the third position in the girls' category.
In the boys' event, Selborne Primary secured the second-place position, while Stirling Primary's B team claimed the third position.
As a result of their outstanding performance, both the girls' and boys' teams from Stirling Primary School have secured their positions in the upcoming Eastern Cape provincial finals, scheduled to take place later this year. The reigning provincial champions will be joined by Clarendon Primary and Selborne Primary, who were deserving second-place winners in their respective categories.
The RCS Group-sponsored program continues to create opportunities for boys and girls from all communities, aiming to increase youth participation in tennis.
