Pretoria, South Africa – Petro Kruger of Boland continues to make big impression on the international seniors tennis circuit. In the women’s +70 at the recently played Super Seniors World Individual Championships at Orlando, Florida, USA - Kruger reached the singles and doubles semi-final, and won the mixed doubles title.

72-year-old Kruger, seeded four in the singles lost in the last four of the tournament to second seed, Sylvie Galfard-Kirsten of France, 4-6 2-6. Kruger then teamed up American partner, Susan Kimball to reach the doubles semi-final. Second seeds Kruger/Kimball lost to the American duo, and third seeds, Brenda Carter and Betty Wachob 6-7(3) 3-6.

However, in the mixed doubles, Kruger and her partner, Petr Kolacek of Switzerland clinched the title, beating Australians, Carol Campling and Alan Gooch easily 6-3 6-0 in the final.

South Africa’s number one singles and doubles ranked player (in her age group), is ranked 14(singles) and 6(doubles) in the world seniors rankings.
