Johannesburg, South Africa – South African tennis player, Kevin Anderson has reached a career high world ranking of 7, following his first ATP World Tour Masters semi-final berth in Madrid. Anderson’s previous career high world ranking was 8 in February this year.
Seeded six in the men’s singles draw of the tournament, Anderson impressed through to the semi-finals, where he was beaten by losing finalist, Dominic Thiem of Austria - who has shocked inform, Rafeal Nadal, in the quarterfinals.
Anderson won the inaugural New York this year and has reached two ATP finals in Pune and Acapulco.
