South Africa's Chanel Simmonds booked a place in the final round at the African Games in Rabat, Morocco on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old defeated Egyptian third seed Sandra Samir in straight sets 6-2 6-2 to extend her dominance in the tournament.

Simmonds will face-off against top seed Mayar Sherif from Egypt for a women's singles title.
