The Johannesburg leg of the American Express Super 8 Junior Series concluded on Monday at Ellis Park Tennis Precinct in Johannesburg, following five days of exhilarating tennis action. Shane Furrows from Gauteng and Ché Nel from the Western Cape emerged as the champions in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.

In the girls' under-16 division, Lily Haley from the Western Cape stunned top seed Sophia Koen to claim a well-deserved victory. Hlumani Kekana, also from the Western Cape, clinched the under-16 boys' title.

The under-14 category saw Tristan Summers from Gauteng dominate the boys' division, while Megan van Vuuren from the Western Cape defeated top seed Lea Dube to capture the girls' trophy.

In the under-12 category, Kamogelo Mponwana from Limpopo became the new girls' champion, and Nicolaas van der Walt from the Eastern Cape, the top seed, secured the boys' championship.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their remarkable performances, which contributed to the resounding success of the 2024 AMEX Johannesburg Super 8.
